Karva Chauth : A festival commemorating longitivtiy  during which the married ladies of the homes keep a fast from sun rise till the moon rise, for their husband’s long life.

Diwali: Festival Of lights. An inviting eve of galore and heart thumping music that let’s oneself flow into the a world of seamless joy.

Prague Holi & Baisakhi show 2019

Guru Nanak Gurpurab

Guru Nanak Gurpurab, also known as Guru Nanak’s Prakash Utsav and Guru Nanak Jayanti, celebrates the birth of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak. This is one of the most sacred festivals in Sikhism, or Sikhi.

The festivities in the Sikh religion revolve around the anniversaries of the 10 Sikh Gurus. These Gurus were responsible for shaping the beliefs of the Sikhs. Their birthdays, known as Gurpurab, are occasions for celebration and prayer among the Sikhs.

Makara Sankranti, is a festival day in the Hindu calendar, in reference to deity Surya. It marks the first day of sun’s transit into the Makara, marking the end of the month with the winter solstice and the start of longer days.

Pongal is the harvest festival that is celebrated to convey gratitude and homage to the Sun God for a successful harvest. It is held in the Tamil month of Thai and is the only Hindu festival that is celebrated according to a solar calendar.

Navratri Festival 2018

Dear friends,
It is time again for Navratri dandiya and garba festivities filled with exciting song and dance, starting with our traditional Aarti.
An event will be held for the Indian community on 13/10/2018, from 17.00 to 21.00 at Narodni dum na Vinohradech, Namesti Miru 820/9, 120 00, Praha 2.
The entry is free, however the space may be limited hence please confirm your attendance. Also, your patience to actually engage in the dandiya play is greatly appreciated. “Prasad” will be provided by Punjabi Food.
There will be prizes galore and the event is hosted and sponsored by Bharat Sangh Czech Republic in cooperation with Manish Sahjwani.
